"SHOULD I REJOICE THIS MUHARRAM OR DO I WEEP?"

ADVISE FOR THE YOUTH TODAY!!

"SHOULD I REJOICE THIS MUHARRAM OR DO I WEEP?"

Muharram is the Islamic New Year and usually in every new year people celebrating and rejoicing but within this month there are so many tragedies happened and one of it was the tragedy of Ashura. At the beginning of Muharram, the tragedy has begun. At first tenth of muharram the beloveds of Prophet Muhammad martyred in the land of Karbala and his grand children captured by oppressors and parade them unveiled on the street from karbala to kufa until damascus. They beheaded the grandson of rasulullah, the martyred of Karbala, Imam Husayn A.S. Do we need to rejoice on this beginning of Muharram or do we need to weep?
We need to rejoice because Imam Husayn A.S martyred in the way of his Lord. Hes martyrdom was the sweetest of all sweets in this world because he's finally reunited with his beloved grandfather. We should rejoice because he won the battle and we finally achieved the true religion Islam.
Do we need to weep for Imam Husayn's martyrdom?
Definitely NOT! We shouldn't weep for him but rather weep for those who betrayed him; those who deprived the paradise for their owned selves and most especially WEEP FOR THOSE WHO DONT BENEFIT FROM THIS TRAGEDY.
How can we benefit from this tragedy?
Commemorating Ashura is not about how hard you beat your chest, how louder you shouted YA HUSAYN,LABBAYK YA HUSAYN or how badly you cried for every lines of latmiyah and chronology of Ashura they read but rather you'll benefit on how you understand the very essence of the aim of the tragedy, whatever imam Husayn fought for on that day and how you act it and use it in your daily life. The benefit is how you ponder, contemplate and realized the happenings on that event. The benefit of Ashura is when you changed something to yourself because of application of what you have learned from it.

In Shaa Allah, let us learn from this event. Remember "EVERYDAY IS ASHURA, EVERY LAND IS KARBALA" Be like Imam Husayn A.S
